Greta – 18 April: Greta is an Irish-American psychological thriller film directed by Sligo man Neil Jordan. The story follows a young American waitress Francis McCullen, who befriends an eccentric French piano teacher, Greta, after returning a lost handbag which Francis finds on the subway. Having recently lost her mother, Frances quickly befriends Greta and the pair soon grow very close. But when Greta’s behaviour becomes increasingly erratic and obsessive, Frances must do whatever it takes to end the toxic relationship before things spirals out of control. Greta hits Irish cinemas this Friday 18 April.
Bread Not Profits – 20 April: The story of how a city takes on an empire, Bread Not Profits celebrates the centenary of the Limerick Soviet, in which the workers of the city declared a general strike in defiance of the British army. Bread Not Profits will bring history to life in an exciting and immersive piece of theatre and runs for 10 nights in the Lime Tree, Limerick. Joanne McNally - Gleebag – 25 April: Self-proclaimed as Ireland’s comedy sweetheart, Joanne McNally will perform at the Central Arts theatre in Waterford next Thursday 25 April. Joanne is feeling powerful and she hopes Vogue Williams and Amy Huberman are worrying because she’s coming for their emerald crowns. Having burst onto the Irish comedy scene in 2014, Joanne has proven to be one of Ireland’s fastest-rising comedy stars, and last year she performed for a full run at Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
