The joint auctioneer on the property, Robert Nixon of Nixon & Co, Auctioneers Kells, Co Meath, was delighted that the 74-acre non-residential Farm at Barfordstown, Kells, Co Meath, sold at auction for €925,000.
With an opening bid of €650,000 and with four strong contenders in the room, the farm quickly realised €850,000 at which stage it was declared on the market.
The buyers were the Meade Family of the Meade Potato Company based at Lobinstown, Navan, Co Meath.
