The Northern Ireland air ambulance evacuated a farmer to hospital on Friday evening after an incident believed to have involved slurry gas.

Northern Ireland's Fire and Rescue Service attended the incident on a farm in Newtownhamilton and helped lift the 65-year-old male patient on to the helicopter, a spokesperson said.

Fire crews used gas monitors to ensure the scene was safe until the evacuation was complete, the spokesperson added.

No information was available about the man's condition.
