Originally set up in Donegal by Robert John Fleming in 1860, ownership of the company has remained in the Fleming family to the present, ranking as one of the oldest agricultural machinery companies in the UK and Ireland. The Fleming family celebrated their 150 years in business in 2010.

All Fleming products are customer-focused, with research and design carried out by its in-house design team which continually works to a standard that has the end users’ satisfaction in mind, with all new products being extensively tested throughout the design and development process to ensure the customer has quality and strength in the product and a value for money machine as the end result.

With computerisation and the pace of new technology moving so fast, the company embraced a policy of continuous improvement, involving the most up-to-date design packages, CNC production machinery and processes, including robotic welding.

Over the years, the company has developed a business strategy of “servicing from stock-stocking for service”, providing value for money machines through the machinery dealer network to over 20 countries worldwide to date. Fleming machines and dealers are supported through a well-stocked spare parts department offering a prompt and efficient service to all their customers.

Fleming is delighted to be exhibiting a new 12t silage trailer at Grass & Muck. The company are manufacturing and selling trailers for many years and in recent times have been developing trailers to satisfy the demands of larger farms.

Using high-tensile, low-weight steel in the design and manufacturing process, the trailer has an increased payload without compromising structural integrity. The tapered body is mounted on a twin-axle spring bogie suspension unit working in conjunction with a full-length sprung drawbar reducing stress on the trailer and towing vehicle with improved operator comfort.

The trailer represents a value-for-money product and is available with galvanized silage sides, LED lights, front viewing window, ladder and 550/45/22.5 wheels as standard. A hydraulic back door is available as an optional extra to further increase productivity and convenience of operation.
