Applied Concepts based in Birr, Co Offaly are known have been manufacturing blasting machines, which they are known for. More recently the firm have designed and manufactured a compressor that can be powered from the front or rear PTO of any tractor.

The new VariMount 350 eliminates the challenges of towing a portable, diesel-powered air compressor behind a tractor for applications such as blowing out umbilical pipe lines after use. As the compressor is powered by the tractor’s engine, it has the added benefit of reducing fuel costs and emission levels.

Inside sits the applied magnum air-end which incorporates its own gearbox which is built to produce 350 cubic feet per minute of airflow (cfm). The company have patented the Pneumatic Control System which they believe can withstand the harshest working environments.
