Castletownbere’s newest seafood restaurant, The Roan Carrig, has opened its doors at Berehaven Lodge. It will see owners Fast Fish Ltd – directors Margaret Downey Harrington, Donal Kelly and Larry Murphy – introduce a new dining experience to customers with a straight-from-the-boat policy, with all ingredients sourced locally.

The 72-seated seafood restaurant will be led by head chef John Byrne, who brings more than 30 years of experience to the table.

The name of the restaurant originated from the Roan Carrig lighthouse, which is situated across the bay from the venue, that enjoys spectacular sea views.

Great pride is taken in where we source our food and how it is cooked and presented. We offer a wide variety of dishes to suit all tastes and look forward to welcoming locals and visitors alike over the coming months.”

The Roan Carrig is now open from Thursday to Sunday from 5.30pm.
