Farmer and auctioneer Richard Beattie told the Irish Farmers Journal that his yard and house were broken into at Glenpark Rd, Omagh, Co Tyrone in the early hours of Monday morning while he and his family were asleep.

"We were in Balmoral Show all week, we were wrecked and didn't hear anything," he said.

In the morning, he found four machines missing and is appealing for information on their whereabouts.

The stolen items were:

  • A black Toyota Land Cruiser with chrome bull bars, registration number RB02MOO.
  • A 12x6 porter flat trailer.
  • A JCB Workmax UTV.
  • A red Honda children's quad.
  • Richard's CCTV system recorded three men removing the quad from a shed at 2.15am.

After alerting the police, Richard said the vehicles were spotted on CCTV elsewhere in Omagh that night, but had not been located as of Tuesday morning.

In a Facebook post, Richard appealed for information on the missing vehicles. "They were in our home as my children slept. Words cannot describe how annoyed we as a family are," he wrote.

Anyone who sees the stolen machines can contact Richard on +44 479 8469-4616 or the PSNI on 101 from Northern Ireland and +44 289 065-0222 from the Republic.
