New Zealand – increased February milk supply
February saw milk supply increase in New Zealand by 3% compared with the same period last year. While the calendar year 2020 saw only a slight increase in total volume, supplies in 2021 have been much stronger.
China – pigmeat imports up

China imported 12,362t of pigmeat from Ireland in the first two months of 2021, up from 8,888t in the same period last year and more than double the 5,872t in January and February 2019.
EU – food exports rise
EU27 agri food exports increased by 1.4% in 2020 compared with 2019, reaching €184.3bn, while EU27 imports were €122.2bn, 0.5% higher than in 2019.
USA – retail meat purchases up
The National Meat Institute reports that retail meat purchases increased by 20% in 2020, with 98.4% of US households buying meat last year and 43% of Americans buying more than before the pandemic.
