It came down to two serious bidders on the day with over 30 bids being placed. The property opened at €750,000 with the hammer finally dropping at €1.37m. This works out at a price of €10,378/ac. The land was bought in trust and it is believed to be local dairy farmers who were successful.
Of the total block, there were approximately 30 acres that were under scrub that would need considerable work to make into productive grassland.

The farm had been leased out or used extensively in parts, for the past number of years. The farm was broken up into in excess of 25 different fields which presents challenges for the new owner.
However, the land is of very high quality and could support high-stocking rates.
The farm comes with a derelict residence and a series of old outbuildings also. Prior to auction the farm was initially guided between €1.3m and €1.5m.
