The RDS is located on Merrion Road, Ballsbridge (D04 AK83), close to Dublin city centre.

Driving

For anyone driving to the event, we suggest that you consult Google Maps to assist you in finding the best route from your departure point to the RDS. The Eircode is D04 AK83.

Car parking at the RDS is operated by NCPS.

A flat fee is charged upon entry and parking is provided on a first come, first served basis.

Public transport serves the RDS from every corner of Ireland, north and south.

By bus

Bus Éireann operates bus routes throughout Ireland linking every major town and city in the country to Busaras in Dublin.

Expressway services include Dublin to the following locations: Belfast, Ballina, Cork, Donegal, Dundalk, Galway, Letterkenny, Limerick, New Ross, Sligo, Waterford and Wexford. Additionally, Bus Éireann runs buses through almost every town in Ireland.

For anyone travelling from Northern Ireland check out the Translink Goldline website.

They operate bus routes to Busaras (Dublin) from Belfast, Newry and Derry/Londonderry. For more information, route options and timetables visit www.translink.co.uk/Services/Goldline/Timetables/.

The central Dublin bus station is Busáras and is located on Store Street in Dublin 1.

It is linked to the RDS by the Dart from Connolly Station, which is a three-minute walk from Busáras.

The DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transport) service operates from Connolly station to Ballsbridge, Lansdowne and Sandymount Stations, which are all approximately a five-minute walk from the RDS.

Directions to the RDS from Sandymount Station:

Follow the exit signs and turn right onto Sandymount Avenue. Continue until you reach the traffic lights – the Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge will be directly in front of you. Turn right on to Merrion Road and the entrance will be on your left.

By train

Connolly Station has trains to/from Belfast (passing through Dundalk), Sligo, and Rosslare Europort, Maynooth, Longford and Wexford. From Connolly station you can get the DART as outlined above.

Heuston Station has trains to/from Ballina, Westport, Galway, Limerick, Tralee, Cork, Waterford, passing through Portlaoise and Kildare. Heuston is not directly linked by bus or rail to the RDS.

The Luas red line will bring you to Connolly station or the city centre.

Dublin Bus

There are a host of Dublin Bus routes that serve the RDS.

These include the 4, 7, 7a and 27x, which all go through the city centre.

You can catch the 4, 7 and 7a on Nassau Street outside Trinity College and the 27x at Connolly station.
