Former North Tipperary county chair Tim Cullinan is the IFA's new national treasurer. The association has also elected a new member to its rules committee.
The IFA elected outgoing north Tipperary IFA chairman Tim Cullinan to the position of national treasurer at its AGM in Dublin on Tuesday.
Pig farmer Cullinan beat competition from outgoing dairy chairman Sean O’Leary, south Leinster chairman James Murphy and Galway chairman Pat Murphy.
Cullinan was among the four IFA executive council members who initiated a motion of no confidence against then secretary general Pat Smith in January 2015 before revelations on executive pay erupted later that year.

Cullinan again rose to national prominence last year when he highlighted the plight of north Tipperary farmers facing particularly tough inspections by Department of Agriculture officials.
He was previously the IFA's pig chairman from 2009 to 2012.
He will replace Jer Bergin as national treasurer at a time when the IFA is facing declining revenue from farmer levies and posted a €1.4m operating loss last year.
Rules committee
Meanwhile, Billy Cotter from Cork took the Council seat on the IFA's rules committee at an election also held at the AGM this Tuesday.
