In contrast to the norm, tillage farmers in the northwest have undertaken some land work, as precipitation volumes in this area have been much less than the rest of the country. Growers of early potatoes need to reconsider their planting plans due to the delay in sowings. The market window for early potatoes has now narrowed and crops planted in the coming weeks will arrive together on the market and will also now clash with stored and new main crop varieties.
