Appointed director of corporate affairs at Dairygold
With over 20 years of experience across strategic corporate affairs and communications, Louise Hogan has held senior leadership roles at Tirlán and the Irish Independent, including as editor of the Farming Independent. Louise has also served as a state board director with the National Milk Agency, which governs and regulates the national liquid milk market.
Speaking about her new appointment, Louise says, “I’m delighted to be joining the Dairygold team as director of corporate affairs.

Sinead Kennedy
Appointed China manager for Bord Bia
Sinead Kennedy has been appointed the new Bord Bia China manager. Sinead previously served as Bord Bia’s market specialist for meat and seafood in Southeast Asia since February 2024. From Cahir, Co Tipperary, Sinéad spent six years in Singapore. She holds a bachelor of commerce international with Chinese language from UCD and a Master’s in International Marketing Practice.
Speaking about her new appointment, Sinead says,“I am excited to help Irish food and drink companies exporting to China to realise future growth opportunities. Ireland is in a strong position to compete and supply China’s evolving consumer requirements. I’m looking forward to focusing on dairy proteins, high-value seafood, and segments of the meat and alcohol categories.”

Genevieve Deering
Appointed general manager of Unigreen DAC
Genevieve Deering spent six years working in the trade office of the Embassy of Belgium in Ireland. She built a strong network in the food and agri sector across Flanders and brought her expertise to Unigreen – a network of horticulture growers that have come together to improve their businesses and their sustainability.
Speaking about her new appointment, Genevieve says, “Unigreen is part of the EU producer organisation scheme which provides financial support to existing recognised producer organisations in the fruit and vegetable sectors.
“I am excited to be part of the promotion of fruit and vegetable consumption in the Irish and UK markets. I’m also motivated to improve the bargaining power of our members through a bigger supply base.”

Dr Charlotte Martin
Appointed group veterinary officer at AI Services & Eurogene
From a farming background in Dromara, Charlotte Martin knew from the age of four that she wanted to be a vet. After studying at the Edinburgh University’s Royal School of Veterinary Studies, she joined the well-known Jubilee Practice in Co Down, working there for four years.
In her new role as group vet for AI Services & Eurogene, she is part of a team of professionals focused on maximising bull productivity and semen quality.
Speaking about her appointment, Charlotte says, “The planned 2026 opening of a state-of-the-art stud and laboratory in Co Antrim, will be truly game-changing. I’m looking forward to taking on a more proactive, production-led role where I can set clear goals, drive continuous improvements, and help farmers strengthen herd performance.”

Eoin Glynn
Appointed new president of Veterinary Ireland
Eoin Glynn is a mixed practice veterinary surgeon who owns Gorteen Acre Veterinary Clinic which is based in Athenry and Tuam in Co Galway. Before studying veterinary medicine at University College Dublin, Glynn studied horsemanship at Kildalton College, Kilkenny.
Speaking about his new appointment, Eoin says, “Irish vets are committed to animal welfare, public health, and professional integrity. Their work contributes to the health of animals, people, and the environment. I have a vision of a Veterinary Ireland where every member feels valued, heard, and empowered to contribute; where we continue to be leaders in science, welfare, and ethics; where we never forget that our work, while sometimes challenging, is a privilege.”

Appointed agribusiness executive at Kepak
Eoin Kelleher graduated in 2022 from University College Dublin with a BSc in Animal Science. He joined Kepak on their farm and whilst working there, he also completed a part-time online MSc in Animal Science in UCD, which he graduated from earlier this year. In 2023, he moved onto the Kepak Kickstart graduate programme, where he completed different blocks of placement in different divisions.
Speaking about his appointment Eoin says, “As a graduate you’re still the new kid on the block, learning as you go and experiencing various divisions of the business. Now I’ve settled into the agribusiness division.
“I look forward to continuing my development and making a positive impact in the business.”
