Weather

Friday will be a warm and mostly dry day with some sunny spells. Top temperatures are expected to rise to around 20°C to 24°C. However, it will be cloudier in coastal counties of the west and northwest, with some drizzle possibly during the morning, which will clear by midday, and not as warm there with top temperatures between 17°C and 20°C. Mainly moderate southwesterly winds will freshen for a time.

Friday night will be dry and very mild with slack variable or southwest breezes. Minimum temperatures 11°C to 13°C.

Weather conditions conducive to the spread of potato blight are expected to occur at times over the next few days. Met Éireann has issued a yellow weather warning.
