Irish Farmers Journal breakfast bulletin: mini-heatwave and cattle prices
In the news today, 24 July: the weather looks up for the next couple of days, cattle prices in the mart continue to perform well and a special delivery of some special cattle.
According to Met Éireann, Monday will be dry and warm day with plenty of sunshine but there is a very slight risk of some patchy rain. Top temperatures will range from 20°C to 24°C.

Monday night will be dry too and temperatures will range from 11°C to 12°C.
Aidan Brennan visited Cathal Moran who is hosting the Irish Grassland Association (IGA) dairy summer farm walk in Co Kilkenny on Tuesday. Moran has grown the herd from 16 cows to 259 cows using only leased land.
