Officials from the Department of Agriculture are in Beijing, China, this week on a technical visit relating to Irish beef access, the Irish Farmers Journal understands.

It comes after an audit of Irish factories last year by Chinese officials, who issued a report with actions to be taken by the Department.

Ireland responded to China around Christmas on the report with the actions remedied. This week, Irish officials are in China going through the next steps involved in the beef access process.
