John Deere recently exhibited some of its construction equipment at the Bauma construction show in Germany. This was the first time John Deere construction equipment was showcased in Europe.
John Deere displayed excavators, wheel loaders, graders, backhoe loaders and skid steers at the Bauma show.
In December 2017, John Deere acquired the Wirtgen Group for an estimated $5.2bn. Based in Germany, the Wirtgen Group is a global player in the manufacture of road construction equipment, with brands such as Wirtgen, Vögele, Hamm, Kleemann and Benninghoven being part of the group.
A year and a half year later, John Deere has showcased construction kit in Europe. However, it’s believed it will be only available through the Wirtgen Group’s German and French branches, and not in Ireland.
