Kubota launched its M6002 series tractors last week at FIMA show in Spain. The three-model series will be best suited to the livestock farmer.

Seated under the bonnet is the firm’s own four-pot 6108 Stage V engine. With three power outputs, the M6122, M6132 and M6142 offer 121hp, 131hp and 141hp respectively, each with an additional 20hp power boost. Kubota tells us that DPF cleaning intervals have been increased from 3,000 to 6,000 hours.

Married up to Kubota’s own engine is a new eight-speed powershift transmission capable of 40km/h at 1,640rpm. The M6002 also gets the Xpress restart function already on the larger M7003 tractor. This allows the driver to bring the tractor to a halt using the brake pedal alone without the need for clutching.

Inside the mechanically suspended cabin is a Premium Grammer seat. To the right of the driver is the new multifunction lever armrest with all necessary engine, transmission and linkage controls. There is a wide sunroof on all models for good visibility for front loader applications. Adding to its visibility, the M6002 series is fitted as standard with 10 LED working lights with the option of six additional lights for full 360° coverage.
