Lemken recently divided its tillage wear parts range into two separate ranges to accommodate its customers’ varying demands.

Dural and DuraMaxx are the two new ranges. The Dural range sees a standard service life while DuraMaxx, as the name would suggest, has a longer service life according to the German manufacturer. All equipment parts are manufactured in house, which sees a heat treatment facility to ensure toughness in all equipment parts.

DuraMaxx hardened steel plough bodies are claimed to increase service life by 150% in comparison with Dural plough bodies. Plough bodies were the first wearing parts to offer greater wear-resistant options.

DuraMaxx was introduced in the 1990s. Lemken has since expanded its portfolio in high wear-resistant parts in the area of stubble cultivation.

The range of wear parts available for the Lemken Karat cultivator, for example, now see the addition of carbide to supplement existing standard steel and hard-faced shares. In addition to standard steel discs, the Rubin disc harrow is available with high-tempered steel discs as an option, providing up to 20% greater service life.

Lemken now sell these harder wear-resistant parts under the original names given to its plough bodies from the start. All harder wearing products come under the DuraMaxx while adopting the Dural brand for standard spec part offerings.
