John Deere has added three models to its extensive range of lawn tractors and walk-behind lawnmowers for 2015. This range features models that are claimed to be faster and more economical.

The X105 lawn tractor is the smallest and lowest-priced model in the range. Its compact size makes it ideally suited for smaller gardens and for manoeuvring in tight spaces, like narrow gateways, tricky corners and intricately landscaped gardens.

It is simple to operate. It uses continuously variable transmission (CVT) system, which means that a single drive pedal and a simple forward/reverse lever control the direction.

The operator can also adjust the height of the cut from 25mm to 100mm (one to four inches). This versatile side-discharger tractor is suitable for areas of grass up to 4,000m². The price of the X105 starts at €2,733.

The prices for all three products include vat and each mower comes with optional extras, including a collection system and mulching kit.

The second model is the X115R lawn tractor. Its high-capacity 300-litre collector allows for faster work, with fewer stops to empty out the clippings which can now be done quickly from the operator’s seat.

An integral water hose connector on the mower makes cleaning very easy. The price of the X115R starts at €3,357.

The top-of-the-range X590 multi-terrain lawn tractor has the highest level of power, performance and comfort, and is particularly suitable for homeowners with large areas of grass or more challenging terrain.

Power steering, a hydraulically operated mower deck and an easy-start engine give customers a car-like experience. It also features a comfortable, high-back seat. The price starts at €7,492. If that’s not enough, John Deere has updated the X125 lawn tractor with a more powerful engine and a higher-specification seat and steering wheel for improved cut quality and comfort.

All these lawn tractors will be available through the John Deere homeowner dealer network from spring 2015.
