Constance at Lissadell Church – 5-7 December: This is a powerful and unique new production which explores Constance Markievicz, presenting the artist, activist and revolutionary through her own words, set in the stunning surroundings of Liassadell Church, Co Sligo. A well-known yet mysterious figure, the humanity of Constance Markievicz remains widely unknown. The production reflects on her life and legacy. Traditional Irish and classical musicians, combine original compositions by Michael Rooney with Constance’s prose and poetry to create an experience that celebrates one of Ireland’s most iconic figures. Ken Miles is a racer working as a mechanic and running his own shop. Based on a true story, the film follows Americans Shelby and Miles as they battle corporate interference, the laws of physics and their own personal demons to build a revolutionary race car for Ford. They challenge Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966. Matt Damon and Christian Bale star in this action-packed sports film. This film rated 12A.

It promises to be a magical family experience brimming with Christmas cheer leaving the whole family believing in fairytales. Start the visit with storytime by the fireplace with Mrs Claus and afterward be wowed with a special visit to Santa in his magical grotto. Following all of that excitement, pop into the Old Kitchen Café for a free juice or a festive drink. Visit Tinsel Town where the elves are busy in their workshop and post your letter to Santa. This is the second part of a successful exhibition that was hosted in June 2018 in Limerick Museum. The exhibition features a decade’s fieldwork and showcases, for the first time, a collection of images of the entire county’s remaining castles and tower houses in one room.
