What do you think the chances are of accidently finding a four-leaf clover?

Well, Jimmy Mulroy from Bohola, Co Mayo, should know. He has not only found two four-leafed clovers in the past few years, but last week he also turned up a five-leaf clover in an eight-acre field on his land.

Jimmy's first find of a four-leaf clover was in 2014 and in 2016 he found another one in a different field.

Then to cap it all off, the five-leafer turned up last week.

"It was in an eight-acre field I was cutting for silage and I wasn't even looking for it, but there it was," says the suckler farmer.

So has luck followed him since discovering these lucky clovers?

"I bought a few lottery tickets, but got nothing from them. But I have good health now and that's all the luck I need," he said.

For your information, the odds of finding a four-leaf clover is one-in-10,000 and to find a five-leaf is one-in-20,000.
