Mount Mellerary silage

Mount Mellerary Community, based at Cappoquinn, Co Waterford, is staging a Muir-Hill tractor event this Saturday 8 September from 11am on the grounds of Mount Melleray Abbey. All money raised will be donated to the new Hospice Care Centre located on the grounds of University Hospital Waterford.

This year the spotlight is on the famous Muir-Hill tractors. John O’Brien (087-254 2596) of the organising committee told the Irish Farmers Journal that there will be both static displays and working demos with double-chop harvesters. John would like all Muir-Hill tractor owners to be involved in making it a day to remember.

Same Deutz-Fahr manager

Same Deutz-Fahr (SDF) has appointed Graham Barnwell as its new UK and Ireland country manager, taking over from Mark Ormond. Graham has spent most of his career in after-sales at the now Italian-owned SDF Group.

Graham Barnwell held the position of service manager with the company. In 2010, he was promoted to UK marketing manager, until sales management responsibilities were added in January 2018.

He has more than 15 years experience gained in sales and marketing within the SDF Group, which believes that Graham Barnwell has the appropriate credentials to take the company forward. SDF has listed 14 Deutz-Fahr and 10 Same dealers on the island of Ireland.
