With the new Arex self-propelled sprayer, Hardi has moved away from its front mounted engine format previously used in its Alpha model. Instead, it has opted for the unique approach of mounting the engine in its new Arex range at the very rear of the machine and not behind the cab like the majority of its competitors. The obvious benefits of the front mounted cab include visibility, improved access and reduced noise etc.

As result, the Arex can now offer larger tank capacities of 5,000l or 6,000l, compared to 4,000l on the Alpha. There is also a 600l clean water tank and 50l induction hopper.

Powering the Arex is a 310hp Cummins six-cylinder engine, while a hydrostatic transmission powers its four Bosch Rexroth wheel motors. Independent air-damped ActiveRide suspension leaves for a comfortable operator experience.

The WorkZone has been updated and features a newly designed SmartFiller and FluidBox 8000, which simplifies liquid handling, while AutoAgitation, AutoFill and AutoWash allow faster and easier operation.

The Area also uses the Dynamic Fluid 4 fluid management system, which automatically responds to changes in ground speed through the use of sensors for flow, pressure, pump speed and a control valve.

There are various boom options available, with Hardi’s TwinForce boom available up to 36m and the standard DeltaForce boom up to 39m. Options include pulse-width modulation (PWM) nozzles, as well as Hardi’s GeoSelect Gen 2 spot spraying system.
