At its recent German pre Agritechnica press event Horsch unveiled a range of new products and updates for 2026.

The Fortis 8 AS is new deep tillage tine cultivator positioned between the Fortis 9 AS, 7 AS and 6 AS models for wheeled and tracked tractors over 500hp. Horsch has said that the new Fortis 8 AS will replace the Terrano GX models, and is better suited to larger hp tractors. Depending on the points chosen, working depth ranges from 4cm to 30cm.

With a maximum working depth of 30cm, Horsch see the Fortis 8 AS as a universal machine suited to deep loosening and primary cultivations. The working width of 8.27m from tine centre to tine centre allows for high work rates in combination with the largest standard tractors. In contrast to the Fortis 9 AS, the 8 AS is not equipped with hydraulic release tines.

Due to the optional packer angle adjustment, farmers can react quickly to changing conditions. Tines are spaced at 28cm while the fourth tine row is spaced further away to further aid levelling and to allow more space for the transport wheels.

Like most Horsch cultivators, the Fortis is equipped with an integrated weight transfer system that transfers up to 1,200kg to the rear axle of the tractor for improved traction.

A wide range of packer options are available along with the option of adjusting packer angle to changing conditions.
