Kilkenny-based machinery distributor Castleagri will be exhibiting equipment from Scottish-based attachments company Murray Machinery, German-built slurry equipment firm Moscha and Polish attachments company FK Machinery on its stand at the Ploughing next week.

The push-off bucket is a new concept from Scottish manufacturer Murray Machinery. The manufacturer says it designed the product to work where conventional buckets have difficulty operating, such as loading sticky materials like hen muck or well-rotted dung. The push-off gate is operated by two hydraulic cylinders. It says the push-off bucket can be fitted with different brackets, to suit a variety of loaders.

Murray Machinery will also exhibit attachments such as bale-handing kit and its road grader.

The Gravel Road Grader is designed to reinstate gravel roads which have fallen into a state of disrepair. It is able to carry out four different functions (ripping, grading, cambering and levelling) with the same machine, while utilising stone from the existing road surface.

The hydraulically operated ripper teeth break the hardened surface, which allows the loose stone to be collected by the grader.

The Gravel Road Grader is designed to reinstate gravel roads which have fallen into a state of disrepair.

It then carries it until it reaches a low point where it's deposited. The tilting frame allows the operator to alter the camber across the width of the levelling frame, allowing the road to be sloped to one side or another. The recently added rear packer roller can then be deployed to further compact and seal the surface.

Moscha and FK Machinery

Castleagri will showcase the Moscha slurry separator and its swivel spout spreaders. The Moscha slurry separator attaches to the slurry tanker via a slurry hose and is operated during the vacuuming phase, as the slurry is sucked through it like an in-line filter.

The hydraulic motor squeezes out the liquid which is powered by the tractor’s own spool valve. Slurry is separated pre-entry into the tanker. The unit sits in line between the slurry tanker and the slurry tank, with the slurry tanker connecting to its outlet.

A range of attachments from Polish machinery manufacturer FK Machinery will be on display, including a feeding auger bucket with a silage defacer.
