This week’s Young Stock Podcast sees us catch up with County Laois woman Claire Daly. Claire is the members relations officer with the Farm Tractor & Machinery Trade Association Ltd (FTMTA).
Claire grew up on a mixed beef and dairy farm, where she and her family carry out all of their own machinery works.
Claire continues to be actively involved on the farm on evenings and weekends.
Claire studied rural enterprise and agri-business management at Atlantic Technical University, with the course being studied at both its Mountbellew Agricultrual College campus and in its Galway campus.
She tells us all about the FTMTA, what the association does on a day-to-day basis and tells us about the FTMTA Farm Machinery Show, which is set to take place this November at Punchestown Racecourse.
She explained that exhibitor stands for the show have been sold out for the past two months and that this year’s show is set to be its largest yet.
