Monday’s bullock sale saw another strong trade despite the weather. Bullocks sold mainly from €600 to €845 over the weight for continentals, with prices averaging from €600 to €700 along with the weight. Last Thursday’s sale saw a large entry of stock met with a firm trade. There were buyers present for all types of stock. Trade has remained strong again this week, with a good attendance of buyers present for all categories of stock on offer. Top-quality heifer sold mainly from €1,395 to €1,585, while good-quality lighter types made from €1,000 to €1,300. Cows with calves at foot sold from €1,280 to €2,290, while springers sold for up to €1,650/head.
