Yes, you read that right - Mayo has won two in a row.

It's not five in a row, and it's not football, but it's a very good result for the Kilgallan Angus herd, as it has secured the Irish Angus all-Ireland title for the second year.

Overall and junior titles

Taking the overall and junior championships for owner Gerry Kilgallan was the November 2018-born Mayo R Magic.

This stylish young bull is a son of the old reliable bull Bohey Jasper.

This result follows the successful outing by Kilgallan at last year's show, where he took the overall championship with his senior cow Mayo Karin.

This same cow also took the senior female championship at this year's show, with the sire being Westellen Deekay.

Reserve All-Ireland Champion goes to Steil R Molly 378 from Cathal and JJ McCormack.

Standing as reserve overall champion and junior female champion was the young heifer Steil R Molly 378.

This beautiful September 2018-born heifer was bred and exhibited by Cathal and Joe McCormack and is a daughter of their senior stock bull Ballyshannon Eustace.

This young heifer's breeding goes back to Towerhill Noel.
