McHale a leading manufacturer of specialist agricultural farm machinery
The main focus of the business revolves around providing practical solutions for farmers and contractors in the production of round baled silage, haylage, straw, hay and square baled silage.
SPONSORED
The family-run business was established by brothers Padraic and Martin McHale.
Today, McHale manufactures a range of mowers, centre-delivery twin rotor rakes, fixed and variable chamber round balers, square and round bale wrappers, the Fusion integrated or combination baler wrapper, round bale handling and bale splitting implements and straw blowing and silage feeding equipment.
McHale researches, designs and tests its specialist machines in line with end-user requirements.
During the design and development stage, all machines go through rigorous testing with high-end users.
McHale’s headquarters is located in Ballinrobe, Co Mayo, where 270 people are employed, with 10% of the workforce involved in research and development.
After testing is complete, McHale uses the latest in laser and robotic technology in the production of its specialist grassland equipment.
Strict quality checks
Manufacturing takes place at two purpose-built factories, which operate to strict quality checks.
One key feature at the production stage is that there is complete traceability of all components used and every machine is tested, run and calibrated before they leave the McHale factory.
Over 90% of McHale machines produced are destined for the export market.
Worldwide farmers, contractors and custom workers use the McHale range of grassland machinery in the production of high-quality fodder. McHale equipment can be seen operating in over 55 countries around the world.
Latest products from McHale
Ahead of the 2021 season, McHale has made a number of updates across its wide range of machinery following feedback from customers and extensive testing in Ireland and around the world.
This season will see the McHale Fusion 3 Pro get to work around the world. This machine expands the Fusion range to provide operators with a number of unique features, such as:
iTouch control console.
In-cab net and density adjustment
In-built camera.
Auto-drop floor reset.
Auto knife drop feature.
Bale tip speed adjustment.
Roll-back wrapping feature.
Weighing and moisture recording (optional).
Receipt printer (optional).
Across its baler range, McHale has further developed the pick-up with the introduction of a six-tine bar cam-less pick-up option with double crop roller to choose from.
An adaptive intake has been specifically designed for all balers to allow the intake area to automatically adjust to changes in material flow.
The design of this floor has a number of advantages:
Better crop intake.
Less chance of blockages occurring.
Floor automatically adjusts to allow the machine to better handle uneven rows / swaths.
McHale machines work in different conditions around the world, so in order to optimise machine performance, a 1,000rpm gearbox is available as an optional upgrade on all machines in the McHale integrated baler wrapper range.
McHale also has a wide range of mowers to choose from for the farmer and contractor. The McHale Pro Glide Mower range comprises of three models
F3100 Front Mower.
R3100 Rear Mower.
B9000 Combination Mowers.
All mowers come fitted with 3m cutterbars and a number of novel features focusing on flotation to achieve three-dimensional ground following capabilities.
Also new to the McHale product portfolio is the McHale range of centre delivery rakes.
With two models in the range, customers can choose a machine to suit their needs depending on the working width required.
McHale R62-72 with a working width of 6.2m to 7.2m.
McHale R68-78 with a working width of 6.8m to 7.8m.
Both machines come with a number of high-output features as standard, which include rotor height adjustment, tine arm cam adjustment, hydraulic width adjustment, removeable tine arms and individual rotor lift.
