When did you set up your business and why?

I established my business just a few months ago, inspired by my passion for crafting and designing.

It all began when my partner and I were planning our wedding and, as someone who loves to take a hands-on approach, I decided to create a unique unity candle for our ceremony.

The creative process was incredibly fulfilling and it sparked the idea that I could explore my talents further, and potentially turn it into a business.

I was eager to see where this venture would take me, and I felt compelled to share my creations with others.

Can you explain your process?

The inspiration for my first wedding unity candle design came from my personal love for rustic style and eucalyptus. As someone who enjoys designing, I found it to be a natural and easy process to create this special piece for our wedding day.

Veronika Lebedjoka set up VG Designs IE after creating a unique unity candle for her wedding day.

Having a clear idea of what I wanted to achieve and feeling confident in my abilities made the entire experience incredibly satisfying. I felt proud to have created something unique and meaningful for our special day.

What is your bestseller?

My business initially took off with the success of my first design for the wedding unity candle set, which quickly became our bestseller.

However, as I continued to grow and expand my product offerings, I started creating more designs for personalised christening candles.

Veronika Lebedjoka of VG Designs IE makes personalised candles for special occasions.

My customers have shown a particular fondness for our personalised christening candles with artificial flowers, which have since become my top-selling product.

What is it about your business that brings you joy?

The feedback from my customers puts the biggest smile on my face, and I am incredibly grateful for their support.

Knowing that they have chosen my personalized candles for their special occasions brings me immense happiness and satisfaction.

What are your hopes for 2023?

As a small business owner who just started, my hopes for 2023 are centred around growth and expansion. I am eagerly anticipating what the future will bring, and I am committed to continuing to work hard and develop new ideas and designs for my customers.

My ultimate goal is to bring even more unique and personalized designs to my future customers, and I am excited to see how my business will evolve and develop over the next year.

What advice would you give to another start-up business?

I suggest for start-up businesses to connect with other small businesses; build a network. And be active on social media platforms, as it can be very beneficial in establishing relationships and promoting their business.
