The good weather had an impact on the number of cattle coming forward for sale at Omagh Auction Mart on Monday 22 June, with mainly dairy-bred stock on offer.
Prices paid in marts have seen some positive momentum since the start of June, with fewer cattle through the rings and a steadying in the overall beef trade.
In the bullock ring on Monday, the top price was the £2,370 paid for a June 2024-born 625kg Charolais (379p/kg). Other leading prices saw £2,170 paid for 570kg (381p/kg) and £2,290 for 660kg (347p/kg).

Among the heifers on offer, the top was a 690kg Simmental which sold for £2,270 (329p/kg).
A 535kg lot made £2,090 (391p/kg), followed by 520kg at £1,940 (373p/kg).
Weanlings sold to a top of £1,600 for a Charolais bull, while a Charolais heifer made £1,520.
Dropped calves remain a strong trade, with the highest price being the £1,290 paid for a Charolais bull, while an Angus bull realised £1,080.
Among fat cows, the top price of £2,575 was paid for a young continental cow weighing 790kg (326p/kg). Friesian cows were closer to the 200p/kg mark.
