Tullynagowan Jamboree ET was the star of the show in the online Shades of Spring Sale held over the weekend, selling for an incredible £11,700 (€13,521).
The Dutch Spotted ram lamb headed up the sale of Dutch Spotted, Blue Texel and Badger Faced Texel Sheep, packed with elite genetics and show champions.
Sired by Hotspur Hitman ET, his dam is the prolific Kilroot Electric, making him a maternal brother to the 25,000gns Craigdoo Firefly.
Described by breeders Stephen and Paddy Fee as the best ram ever bred in the Fermanagh-based flock, Jamboree sold to Messrs Henderson and Messrs Richardson, with a half share retained by the Tullynagowan Flock.
Up next at £4,000 (€4,623) was another striking Dutch Spotted ram lamb, Craigdoo Jackpot ET, the property of Patrick and Orla Grant from Co Down.
A son of Kirkinriola I’m the Man ET and Craigdoo Irresistible ET, Jackpot was overall male champion Dutch Spotted at Balmoral Show recently. Securing this well-bred ram lamb was Messrs Bowen in Brecon, Wales.
Knockmult Ewes
The long-standing Sacombe Flock of Blue Texels in Hertfordshire secured the 2026 Blue Texel Balmora`1 l champion, Knockmult Koala ET, at £3,800 (€4,391).
Bred by Russell Millen in Co Derry, this March 2025 born Shearling Ewe is a daughter of Drumard Ed and Knockmult Jojo.
Leading the charge for the Badger Faced Texels at £3,000 (€3,467) was Knockmult Glitter ET, another Shearling Ewe from Russell Millen’s Knockmult Flock.
A daughter of Little Whisker Easy Rider, this January 2025-born Ewe was reserve overall champion Badger Faced Texel in Balmoral. She was also purchased by the Sacombe Flock in the UK.
Hosted by Harrison and Hetherington though MartEye, the timed auction saw 18 ewes and rams average £2,400 (€2,773), with eight lots of semen averaging £145 (€167).
