Having invested in some of the finest bloodlines in the Limousin breed when the herd was founded in 1998, Tom Bailey’s herd in Co Meath now offers some of the breeds most sought after genetics in its upcoming Red Ladies Sale.
Over the last 20 years, the herd has produced some of the most successful females in the breed, including the famous Baileys Ice Princess.
Sold to Carrickmore Limousins, she enjoyed unrivalled success in the show ring, winning national champion in 2015 and 2016, as well as breeding bulls to €38,000.
Baileys Minnie, which sold for €16,800 at the 2018 Baileys Red Ladies Sale, produced the 2022 National champion Glenford Royalty.
Catalogued for this year’s sale are 18 exceptionally well-bred, in-calf and maiden heifers. Many of these heifers are sired by the herds successful stock bull Goldies Jackpot, and the noted AI sire, Carrickmore Pocket Rocket ET.
As well as carrying distinguished bloodlines, many of the heifers in the sale offer exceptional indexes.
