Magnificent Moilies sale
The popularity of the Irish Moiled breed is at an all-time high with the number of cattle being entered in the herdbook at a record level. One of the main reasons for the growing popularity of the breed is due to the support given by way of subsidies from the Department of Agriculture Food and Marine (DAFM).
Classified as a rare native breed, Irish Moiled cows have strong maternal traits, such as milk, fertility, easy calving, low maintenance, naturally polled, and are being increasingly valued for their premium, grass-fed beef production. Anyone looking to get into Irish Moiled cattle will have the opportunity this weekend with the Magnificent Moilies online sale taking place from noon on Thursday 25 September until noon on Saturday 27 September.
Consisting of 14 breeding females and two young bulls, the sale will be conducted by Harrison and Hetherington through the MartEye platform. Any queries are to be directed towards the breed secretary Gillian on 0044-78421 85008.
