The senior conventional title went to Matthew Simms from Donegal with a total of 520 marks on the final day of the National Ploughing Championships 2026 in Screggan, Co Offaly.
In second place came Wexford man Martin Kehoe with 512 marks, followed by Sean Tracey from Carlow in third place with 469 marks.
In the Kverneland reversible test match, John Whelan came out on top for a second year in a row with 509 marks.
Cork man Jer Coakley folllowed in second place with 499 marks and in third came Dan Donnelly from Wexford with 487 marks.
Wexford man Billy Donnelly won the three-furrow conventional senior plough class, followed by Colm Dineen from Kerry in second and Richard Byrne from Wexford in third place.
Other results
In the novice conventional senior plough class, Cork man Leonard Deane came out on top with 108 marks.
Stephen Cotterell from Kilkenny followed closely behind in second place with 107 marks and Cork man Nigel Murphy came in third with 96 marks.
The farmerette plough class was won by Ellen Nyhan from west Cork on 236 marks, followed by Ailish Osborne from Kildare with 231 marks. Wexford woman Katie Kehoe was placed in third on 226 marks.
The senior horse class saw J J Delaney from east Cork winning the top prize with 83 marks.
In second came Kerry man Maurice Trant with 80 marks followed closely behind in third place by Noel Hand from Monaghan on 78 marks.
