Freda Kinnarney, operations manager, Tullamore Show; Pat Gilligan, head of sales, midlands and northwest, FBD Insurance; Brenda Kiernan, chair, Tullamore Show; and John Cahalan, chief commercial officer, FBD Insurance.

I was interested to see that FBD Insurance is the new title sponsor of the Tullamore Show.
AIB has ended its long-standing tenure as title sponsor of the event for 15 years.
As the show enters its 27th year, it has grown to become the largest one-day agricultural event in the country. It attracts more than 60,000 visitors, 700 trade stands and 1,500 competitors to compete for the €176,000 prize fund.

FBD is also a key sponsor of Bord Bia’s Bloom event.
Meanwhile, I see also Tullamore boss Freda Kinnarney and her husband PJ are having a clearance sale of their dairy herd next Tuesday.
Under the hammer
The 44 cows and 21 in-calf and calved heifers will go under the hammer at noon in Golden Vale Mart, Tullamore, Co Offaly. The sale is for health reasons. The Dealer will be ringside, naturally.
