A Northern Ireland Sheep Programme virtual sheep event is planned for 2 and 9 July.
This new technology transfer programme aims to improve performance within the farm gate by:
Identifying sustainable systems of production for lowland and hill enterprises.
Utilising flock health planning to underpin output.
Increasing efficiency through superior breeding, grassland management and technology adoption.
Understanding environmental constraints and farming to enhance upland habitats.
Regular monitoring of performance to develop key benchmarks that will ultimately improve farm profitability.
