Miguel Sánchez Martín with Róisín Scully on Pat Hennessy's farm last week.

One farmer has been trying to do his bit for Irish tourism in the wake of the Garth Brooks Croke Park concerts fiasco. I was contacted by IFA Laois chairman Pat Hennessy, who sent me a picture of a visitor to his farm last week. Young Miguel Sánchez Martín had planned on seeing the country music superstar during one of the previously scheduled five concerts. However, after the Croke Park residents, Dublin City Council, Garth and the promoters couldn’t agree to play nicely, Miguel was left in limbo.
Not to be dissuaded, he made the trip to Ireland last week where he hung out with some of Hennessy’s fine Limousin stock. He’s pictured here with Róisín Scully from Laois.
