My sources have informed me of a shake up on the board of Aurivo in recent weeks.
The Dealer understands that Longford dairy farmer and midlands board representative John Payne, has resigned his seat.
The move comes on the back of last month’s failed merger attempt between the co-op and Dale Farm.
I’m told John was in favour of the deal but his committee stood firmly against it.
The rumour mill is now in full flow, with regards to who will take up the available seat at the top table.
Dairy farmer Pat Hickey is understood to be one of the frontrunners in the region with Eamon Fagan another one of the bookie’s favourites.
