Robots make their way west

I see the British government announced funding to the tune of £20m, (€23m) for the development of agricultural robots and automated technology to help out with on-farm labour shortages.

I’m not sure if similar is on the cards for here but it may be worth looking at, as the labour issue keeps coming up as an issue for farmers.

Meanwhile, I see robots in the form of a humanoid and a robotic dog made an appearance at Bonninconlon show in Mayo on Monday.

Both proved a huge hit with showgoers as did Michael English who kept the dancefloor busy with jivers throughout the day.

As yet, I’ve to hear if the human robot’s jive moves were tested. The Dealer would be interested to hear.
