On last week’s Irish Farmers Journal, I note the irony of seeing in one section of the publication a hard-working Brendan Smyth clearing away storm damage in Co Meath, without him wearing any personal protection equipment, which must be contrary to any HSA chainsaw safety recommendations. On the same issue, the reader sees a feature on that very same personal protective equipment under the chainsaw safety section. Surely the inclusion of the two articles on the week’s issue are highly contradictory.

DEAR SIR:

On the same issue, the reader sees a feature on that very same personal protective equipment under the chainsaw safety section.
