Wind and solar power as insurance against imported energy

In my opinion, Donal O’Callaghan’s warning against wind and solar power is fundamentally flawed.

Wind and solar power are our insurance against being so dependent on imported energy. The war in the Middle East highlights this danger at the present time.

The capture of wind and sun to generate power is a huge breakthrough and it is but a matter of time before more cost effective methods of storage are achieved. After all, China is working on it.
