Some 11 sheep have been killed and more seriously injured following an attack which occurred near Tullow in Co Carlow on Wednesday 10 September.
The farmers involved, the Reddy family, believe that their sheep were attacked by at least one dog.
The flock of sheep were in a field in the Templepeter area of Carlow which is located along the L3046 road, very near to the Fighting Cocks cross roads on the way to Rathoe. A road, the family have said, will be well known to locals.

The family is appealing to all sheep farmers in the local area to look out for their flock.
"There are dog(s) on the loose that now have the taste of attacking sheep. These were well cared for sheep and we are distraught as a family to see these scenes on our farm. We hope that no other sheep farmers will experience this. The remaining sheep that experienced this attack are extremely distressed," Cathy Reddy said.
The Reddys are appealing for any witnesses to come forward and contact any member of the family or Tullow Garda Station.
