The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) is appealing for information after approximately 47 cattle have been stolen from the south Armagh area.

The animals were last seen in a field on the Macullagh Road, Newtownhamilton, between 6pm and 8pm on Friday 23 May and were discovered to be missing on Monday 25 May.

The stolen cattle were a mix of breeds, and all carried official identification tags.

Police would like to hear from anyone who noticed any unusual agricultural vehicle movements in the area during this period on the roads at early hours or late in the evenings and from anyone who has heard of cattle being offered for sale in suspicious circumstances.

CCTV

They are appealing for anyone who has CCTV, dashcam, doorbell or other footage that may assist enquiries or has information regarding the whereabouts of the cattle or those responsible for their theft to come forward.
