Mexico – EU trade deal approved
The European Parliament has voted to approve the trade deal with Mexico, which gives EU exporters of meat and dairy better access to that market.
New Zealand – sheepmeat export record broken
New Zealand sheepmeat exports in June increased by 40% volume compared with June last year to 30,043 tonnes, with value up 53% to NZ$ 458m (€234m), a record for June.
Canada – less wheat
The USDA reports that Statistics Canada is forecasting a 13% drop in wheat production to 34.6m tonnes in the marketing year 2025/26 compared with the previous year.
Argentina – export volumes up
Argentina’s ministry of agriculture reports that agri-food exports increased by 15% to 63m tonnes in the first half of this year compared with 2025, a new record.
