The NI meat industry had a strong presence at Anuga, the world’s largest food and drink show in Cologne, Germany, this week. The strongly branded stand was a dedicated area sitting alongside an overall UK exhibit led by AHDB.
The Foyle Food Group had a big team in attendance as did Linden on its first outing since becoming part-owned by the ABP Group. ABP had a large stand of its own separate from all the national stands, reflecting the fact that it operates across these islands and also has three large sites in Poland.
Dunbia was also on the NI stand, with the final place occupied by Hewitt Meats, the Loughgall-based cutting plant which has entered the abattoir business with the purchase of the former Oakdale factory in Lurgan.

Karro, which is NI’s largest pig processor, but headquarted in Malton, Yorkshire, was located on the AHDB end of the stand.
