The Department is hoping to get over the rush of applications for other schemes before opening the online system for TAMS II.
The deadline for Basic Payment and related schemes is tomorrow (Friday) and the new suckler scheme has been extended by a further week to Friday 29 May. There are some thousands of farmers preparing to apply online for these schemes and the Department’s IT teams are focused on that going smoothly.
Yesterday, the Department indicated that it would therefore not open its online applications for TAMS II until the end of next week. Applications will be made on www.agfood.ie. The Young Farmers Scheme was launched last week by Ministers Simon Coveney and Tom Hayes. The scheme’s Terms and Conditions are available on the Department’s website.
