An orange fire warning has been issued by the Department of Agriculture.
High pressure and dry conditions in recent weeks have brought with them a spate of wildfires in upland areas across Louth, Wicklow, Kerry and Cork.
The warning is in place for all areas where hazardous fuels such as dead grasses and gorse exist. It will remain in place until Friday 3 April.
