Based in Ardee, Co Louth, Oriel Attachments is well known for its range of digger attachments for construction, forestry and agricultural industries.
Oriel currently offers three models of tree shears since the original model launched on the Irish market back in 2018.
Models range in size to suit machine sizes from 3t-25t, all of which are built using high-strength Hardox steel. The largest of models can cut trees up to 350mm in diameter.

Oriel say its design is based on simplicity and ease of use for the operator.
The firm has designed and developed a new tree shear named the Positive Pre Clamp, which is set to be available from September.
Effectively doing as its name suggests, the new offering grips the tree before it is cut, increasing overall safety.
Replaceable blades
The Positive Pre Clamp comes with the addition of replaceable cutting blades. Oriel says that while the new model offers a pre-gripping function, its design remains simple. Only the two standard hydraulic hoses are used even with an additional hydraulic ram.
